Energy Markets – UK – 2017
Chris Hadley Consulting undertook an extensive review of consumer attitudes towards the purchase and use of energy for a major supplier. Chris was involved in the analysis of data and the presentation of key findings about where the market was heading.
Key features of the research were an analysis of the penetration of energy utilities within the market with trend data recording a rise in the profile of smaller providers compared with the traditional ‘big 6’. Satisfaction with companies varied with evidence that service levels were diverging as opposed to improving. Switching energy supplier remained of low interest to many consumers with those who were wealthy or in the higher socio-economic groups most likely to look out for the best deals.
