A manufacturer of water and wastewater technology was seeking to investigate future opportunities across a number of West European markets with the view to finding a partner in markets of high potential growth. Chris was initially involved in a full review of policy and legislative developments that were likely to lead to such opportunities. Country-by-country recommendations followed highlighting emerging technologies viewed as offering strong potential.
After selecting a number of technologies the client felt were a good fit with their current portfolio and ambitions, phase 2 of the study followed. This involved more detailed analysis of market prospects, drivers/restraints and competitive conditions as well as likely competitors that any player offering new technologies would likely encounter. A number of companies with technologies of interest were profiled so that the client too could asses their likely fit with a potential partner.
